To continue with the last week of school festivities for the Class of 2024 seniors, we hosted a “Senior Signing Day” where each senior was recognized in Senior Seminar with a picture holding a pennant of their post-secondary plan- 4-Year University, Junior College, Military, Trade School, or Workforce🙌🏼 GEAR UP also gifted 19 of our seniors College Readiness Backpacks and MacBook laptops for those that entered the giveaway based on grades on track to graduate, applied to one college and one scholarship and filled out the FAFSA. We are so excited for our seniors- they are WORLD CHANGERS! 🌎 💜









Just in time for graduation! This MHS lettermen's was gifted to us in the name of Arlene Roberts. It has definitely withstood the test of time. It is in great shape. Thank you for the amazing gift. #onceabravealwaysabrave



2024 Summer School enrollment is open! Students who need to make up credits are STRONGLY encouraged to enroll. Enrollment packets are available outside the office & the deadline has been extended through Friday. Give us a call if you have questions.



We start our final English & Math MAP testing of the year this week, Monday, 5/6!!! Please make sure our kiddos are rested, fed & on time to school. We use these results to show growth and to identify learning deficits so that we know how to help our students grow in mastery. We got this! #mhsisacademicallystrong

Late post alert...We celebrated our Braves of the Month for February and March with a pizza luncheon last week. We are proud of the way our students and staff represent our BRAVE culture. Our Brave Juniors will kick-off CAASPP testing with ELA the week of April 4-12. This is how the state measures our academic success & career & college readiness. Please encourage our kiddos to do their best on this test. The testing periods for next week are 1,2,3 on A days & 6 & 7 on B days. Please make sure our kiddos are at school & on time! Let's do this!



Another great project from Grier's welders! Colin Gardner welded and painted this wheelbarrow for our SPED program's recycling duties. Colin saw a need for our students and he met it. Thank you for being a Brave, Colin!

Some of our Upward Bound kiddos & Advisor Chantz Witt are field tripping! They toured Lassen College today and then onto Wild Island Adventure to do mini golf, go carts, laser tag, bowling and arcade games. Tomorrow they head to UNR to experience all the campus has to offer. #mhscareerandcollege #upwardbound






Lewis Crumwell giving the gift of life by donating blood at the Federated Church blood draw. He donates everytime they come. No doubt that Lewis will donate at our MHS Blood Draw on April 5th. Mrs. Grier is enhancing the wellness of our students with her Balanced Living Class. Part of this lifestyle is a yoga practice. #mjusdbp3






MJUSD Board Priority #3 is: A healthy lifestyle leads to a healthy life. Our students are following this priority in our yoga class & in our Strength & Conditioning Center. Also, in collaboration with Modoc County Public Health, some of our students have been doing chair exercises and using the Bicycle Blender at the Health Hub. #bravestrong
