SEMESTER ATTENDANCE POLICY
This policy is intended to:
Encourage students to be in school
Encourage students to make up missed assignments
Keep parents informed of potential problems
Reduce the number of failing grades due to absences
Make students accountable for their own attendance
Provide a transitional experience for students before they enter the “working world”
The policy: A student must have 90% attendance, or fewer than 5 (five) unexcused absences, in each course to receive credit for the semester. Absences due to attending school activities (such as athletic contests, drama or music performances, field trips, etc.), short-term independent study, medical illnesses as verified in MJUSD Board Policies AR 5113, or a home health plan due to extensive illness/injury are excluded from this policy.
Students who exceed the allowed number of absences will automatically enter the attendance review process. Toward the end of each semester, the teachers and administration will review the attendance of those students and make a determination whether or not to grant credits based upon extenuating circumstances noted by the attendance office in working with those students and their families.

Spring is quickly approaching and its time to work on getting those senior banners hung on Main Street! Banners are $75.50 each. Please bring payment for your banner or if you don't have a senior, sponsor a senior banner :) Payment should be submitted to Janet or Cindy in the office. If you are writing a check, please make it out to Project Graduation. Please have all payments in by March 28th. If you have any questions, please call the school.

We encourage you to travel down to Oroville to support our Wrestling quad as they look to qualify for state! Be loud and be proud! Congrats to Mr. Eddy & his 2025 Acadec Team for taking 2nd place. Though we were at a disadvantage, as we lacked a varsity team, we won the super quiz and did very well on the individual medal count.
